Vinification: Fermentation initiated in stainless steel tanks and underwent a series of pumpovers until dry. Further maceration allowed before drawing off and light pressing

Maturation: This wine spent 14 months in French oak barrels of which 25% was new
Analysis: Alcohol 14.0%; Residual Sugar 2.84 g/l; Total Acid 5.29 g/l; pH 3.54
Tasting note: Red/ purple colour. Very young wine needing time to meld. Pure balckberry fruit with underlying white pepper and liquorice aromas and hints of violets. Elegant but concentrated palate with ripe fruit, underlying cedar spice and finely balanced tannin characters.
