Harvest date: Harvesting commenced on the 5th of February and carried through to the 20th of February 2003.
Yield: 7.0 tons/ha or 42 hl/ha
Harvest statistics: Harvested between 22.0şB to 25.4şB TA 8.8 g/litre pH 3.2
Vinification: 80% Barrel fermented, using 30% new and the balance in 2nd and 3rd fill French oak. 30% Malolactic fermentation. 20% Tank fermented. No Malolactic.
Maturation: 9 Months in the same barrels in which the wine fermented. Lees stirring (batonage) every four weeks.
Bottled: Bottled in December 2003.
Analysis: Alcohol: 13.5 Vol% Residual sugar: 1.5 g/litre TA: 7.0 g/litre pH: 3.20
Tasting note: Attractive green tints. Tight lemony/lime aromas with a touch of vanilla. Tight focussed palate with citrussy fruit and elegant long finish.
