Harvest stats: Grapes harvested between 24.5şB - 26.0şB; Total Acid 6.8 g/litre; pH 3.4
Vinification: Fermentation initiated in open tank fermentors and underwent a series of punching before completion of fermentation and malolactic fermentation in the barrel.
Maturation: This wine was matured for 17 months in French oak barrels of which 25% was new.
Bottling date: Bottled in November 2005.
Analysis: Alcohol 14.0%; Residual Sugar 2.0 g/litre; Total Acid 5.5 g/litre; pH 3.5
Tasting note: Vibrant crimson colour. Perfumed, spicy and plummy Grenache with secondary notes of savoury sauces add complexity to aromas unencumbered by any apparent oak. A medium bodied palate with good weight for Grenache. Berried fruits and some tarriness. Fine grained fruit tannins complimant a rich concentrated palate.
