Frequently asked questions regarding on-line ordering
Can I order internationally?
Yes, we can ship to the following countries: If your country is not listed, please contact us and we may be able to arrange it.
Who do you use for shipping?
We use a local company – The Vineyard Connection – for all of our shipping. They have many years of experience shipping wine. One of their services is that all wine shipped internationally is repacked into special extra-strong cartons to minimise the chance of breakage.
What are my shipping options?
All of the international shipments are door-to-door. Although this is a more expensive option, we believe this is the most hassle-free for our customers. If you wish for another shipping option, please send your request by email.
What if there is damage?
If a bottle is broken during transit, please indicate that on the delivery note. All wine is shipped inclusive of insurance. You will be refunded the cost of any damages, including shipping. Should you not indicate any damages on the delivery note, we will not be able to make an insurance claim and, therefore, will not be able to refund you.
Can I track my package?
Unfortunately, at present our courier does not have a web-based tracking system. However, if for some reason your shipment is late, please contact us and we will contact the shipping company directly.
How long does it take to process an order?
All orders received on a weekday will be sent within 24 hours. Orders received on a weekend or holiday will be sent on the next business day. Your credit card will not be charged until an order has been shipped.
Will I be charged duties and taxes?
See the individual shipping information page. Some shipping methods are inclusive of duties and taxes, some are not.
Can I buy just one bottle?
You can buy only one bottle, but shipping charges are calculated in multiples of six. In other words, the shipping charge for one bottle is the same as for six bottles.
Must I pay in rands?
We must charge you in rands, however, the charges will appear on your credit card statement in your country’s currency. To help you calculate the cost, select “currency” from the menu at the bottom of the page for a link to a handy exchange-rate calculator.
